LEVEL 2 IMPROV WORKSHOP STARTS WEDNESDAY, SEP 7!
A new Level 2 improvisation workshop starts Wednesday, Sep 7 at SFXC Japanese Catholic Center in Little Tokyo. Led by COLD TOFU Performing Cast Members, the eight-week session meets every Wednesday 7:00-10:00 pm and focuses on improv techniques and games used by the Performing Cast of COLD TOFU. An intermediary course, this workshop builds on skills and techniques learned in Level 1 with a focus on characters and scene work. Special Level 2 Showcase performance on November 2 at 8pm.

IMPROV WORKSHOP GENERAL INFORMATION
Cold Tofu offers improvisation workshops throughout the year. There are three levels of classes and each focuses on improv techniques and games used by the performing cast of Cold Tofu. Cold Tofu’s workshops are geared to help performers and non-performers learn improv skills and gain confidence in a fun, nurturing environment.
Level 1 Improv Workshop
$295 for eight (8) weeks - Workshop fee includes the required reading material, Truth in Comedy.
This beginning class is geared towards learning basic improv techniques for those with little or no improv experience. A graduation show is presented at the end of the eight-week course.
Recommended preparation but not required: Fundamentals in acting
Level 2 Improv Workshop
$285 for eight (8) weeks.
This session continues towards providing a solid foundation in improv, expanding on Scenework and Character Work. A graduation show is presented on stage at the end of the eight-week course.
Prerequisite: Cold Tofu’s Level 1 Improv Workshop (or 50 hours of training/performance at a reputable improv institution and interview).
Level 3 Improv Workshop
$285 for eight (8) weeks.
This session builds on advanced improv techniques with a focus on the exploration of Narrative, Styles and Genres. A graduation show is presented on stage at the end of the eight-week course.
Prerequisite: Cold Tofu’s Level 2 Improv Workshop (or 200 hours of training/performance at a reputable improv institution and interview).

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Full tuition is due on the first day of workshop. If payment is made beforehand, and you must cancel your registration before the first day of class, a full refund will be issued. If you must cancel your enrollment before the second day of class, 50% of your tuition will be refunded. After the second class, no refunds will be issued. If you are unable to complete the course and advance to the next level, you may retake the workshop at a 50% discount at a future time.
ATTENDANCE AND LATE POLICY
Attendance is mandatory for all classes. Three (3) absences may affect your eligibilty to advance to the next level. Any more than three (3) absences, and you will not be eligible to advance to the next level. Three (3) tardies will count towards an absence. If you are tardy for more than half an hour, it will automatically be counted as an absence.
